Try a little...

Someone asked Me if I attended this year's Soul Train Music Awards. Hmmm, I did not but I thought about it when I passed a producer's contact information onto a Friend. Jamie Foster Brown celebrated Sister 2 Sister's 22nd Anniversary and Jamahl King did an outstanding job executing the celebration. Lately, I have reconnected with quite a few of my former Music industry colleagues and I'm feeling the itch to get reaquainted with the music business. Perhaps I'll make it a priority to represent an artist in attendance next year. But, I digress...this orange spice tea is actually refreshing.

REVEALED is born....

I do my best work during the early morning hours as I sip one of my caffeine concoctions.  Right now I'm sipping green tea from my Brandweek mug.  I love this mug.

Early one summer morning I sat at my desk filing away notes, memos and pictures...  Pictures. PICTURES!  As I took the time and made myself sift through the file I created for my Sister's Homegoing Celebration I experienced a profound sense of sadness that we had so few pictures together.  This was a travesty because I take pictures all the time.  Okay, admittedly of other people, places and events but I'm always pointing and shooting.

Later that week, I arrived at my standing morning appointment with my good Friend Gwynnis.  Gwynnis Mosby?  We met years ago when I was a Publicist at So So Def Recordings.  She was instrumental in helping Me create beautiful images for my roster.  Oddly enough, I met her husband and manager Phil first.  Dr. Phil is the funniest and the most genuine talent manager I'd ever met.  They both have very giving spirits.

As I sat down in Gwynn's beautifying chair, I took a good look around at all her family pictures.  Once she draped Me, we began to talk about our current projects, our lives and our children.  She encouraged Me to consider my own photo shoot.  All shaped up, I took her suggestion and filed it in the back of my mind.

The seed was planted and later that summer I began planning my 2010 Forever Friends Photo Shoot:  REVEALED.  My crew included Make Up Artist Gwynnis Mosby http://www.spmatlanta.org/, off set Hair Stylist Dorita Owens http://www.d-owensdesign.com/, on set Hair Stylist Carmela Hamm , Wardrobe Stylist Phyllis Starks, behind the scenes Photographer JoAnn Epps http://www.joanntakespics.com/ and Fashion Photograpehr Marie Thomas.

Just add water....

I've been wrestling with the idea of this Blog for quite some time.  What is the best approach?  What will I call it?  What about my content?  Experiences vs. Fantasies?  Do I post in real time?  I don't know so I'll just add water and see what happens...
